Your Questions About Writ Petition

Ken asks…
What are your thoughts on male victims of sexual harassment in the workplace (details)?
In Oncale v. Sundowner Offshore Services, the US Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Title VII’s protection against workplace discrimination “because of… sex” applied to harassment in the workplace between members of the same sex.
In late October 1991, Joseph Oncale was working for Sundowner Offshore Services on a Chevron USA Inc. oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico. He was employed as a roustabout on an eight-man crew. On several occasions, Oncale was forcibly subjected to sex-related, humiliating actions against him by his coworkers in the presence of the rest of the crew. Oncale was also sodomized with a bar of soap, and threatened with rape. Oncale’s complaints to supervisory personnel produced no remedial action. Instead, the company’s Safety Compliance Clerk called him a name suggesting homosexuality. Oncale eventually quit—asking that his pink slip reflect that he “voluntarily left due to sexual harassment and verbal abuse.”
Oncale filed a complaint against Sundowner in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, alleging that he was discriminated against in his employment because of his sex. Relying on earlier precedents, the district court granted summary judgment to the defendant, writing that “Mr. Oncale, a male, has no cause of action under Title VII for harassment by male co-workers.” Oncale appealed, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit affirmed the decision, and then after granting a petition for writ of certiorari, the Supreme Court reversed the decision.

Sorry about the cut & paste. I’m still not feeling well and wasn’t up to writing a summary

I am glad the supremes found for him. He was driven from a job because the employer did not protect him from abuse. All of the supervisors should have been fired.

David asks…
Can you use a…?
Can you use a “Petition For Writ Habeas Corpus” towards a Breach Of Contract case, which I filed this case 83 days within the stutute of limitation; had all my evidence, exbits, etc. But still the judge missed the case(frankly seeing to it that I did not win it, period, and I know it!) What can I also do about filing against my stutute of limitation being avoided (Cause it was!) and about refiling my breach of contract case again, since it was not handled right, but wrongly and avoided. Just in case asked; This issue took place In Los Angeles, CA in a civil lawsuit at superior court, which this last court date was on 10/26/2005. (And just can’t forget about the way this went and wronged living situations in my like up to this very day as well.)
Thank you for your wisdom here!
the Breach Of Contract is the contract they broken/disagreed to do, etc. The mess they made, not me. Still may I have your answer and may it be from wisdom not in turning the situation completely around, as what was done?

Old saying: he who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client.
You question here is a perfect example.
Hire an attorney to tell you if you have a case or ever had one, and then work with him or her on how to proceed and clean up the mess you made.
All your local attorneys are in the yellow pages, begging you to call them. Many offer a free consultation!

TO CHRISTIANS ONLY!!!…Isn’t this wonderful news just in from the Supreme Court???
Dear Edward,
I am pleased to inform you that the Supreme Court of the United States has granted the ACLJ’s Petition for Writ of Certiorari in the Ten Commandments case out of Utah – Pleasant Grove City v. Summum (No. 07-665).
We’re delighted that the Supreme Court agreed to take this critical case – it’s exactly what we were hoping for.
And I thank YOU for your prayers and support in this matter! This is a significant step in preserving America’s religious heritage.
The Supreme Court is faced with a dramatic opportunity: preserve sound precedent involving the well-established distinction between government speech and private speech – or permit a twisted interpretation of the Constitution to create havoc in cities and localities across America.
I addressed this to Christians ONLY as millions of Christians in the USA have been praying fervently about this issue and VERY RARELY are those who are NOT Christians, interested, nor do they have any knowledge about the prayer which is behind this issue. It is under no circumstances meant to be an offense to those who are not Christians. To any who I have offended, I apologize.

Always glad to hear good news from the ACLJ. Thank God for Jay Seculow and everyone at ACLJ. We need to start praying that the court will give a fair judgment this case.
